Vallourec Foundation Hosts the Integration Festival 2023

Whether within or outside its walls, the commitment to actions that contribute to positive changes is assured, contributing towards the increasing social evolution of our surroundings. Proof of this lies in the numerous initiatives that receive support from our Company, filling us with optimistic perspectives for the future.

In July, the Sports Center of Vallourec Foundation in Belo Horizonte was the stage for a major integration gathering. Over 1000 people, beneficiaries of projects by Avante Brasil Group, took part in the 2023 Integration Festival. The event brought together employees and their families from cities in Minas Gerais that host Vallourec units and other participating companies, for a day full of games and fun.

At the Sports Center, located within the Vallourec Foundation, everyone arrived full of excitement and energy for soccer and volleyball matches. The day began with a breakfast and, after the games, a lunch was served to replenish energy. During the opening ceremony, everyone had the chance to witness the awards for the national phase of the 4th Poetry Contest arranged by IBEEC (Brazilian Institute of Excellence in Sports & Culture), an organization that conducts social and educational activities for children and teenagers in communities and schools, sponsored by Vallourec.

Emerson Moreira, an analyst of Institutional Relations at Vallourec, highlighted during the event, “Today, we’ve gathered over 1000 people, including beneficiaries, parents, and teachers. It’s been a beautiful day, a wonderful day of integration. And for Vallourec, it’s an honor to host this grand event at our Sports Center. Today, I’m here not only representing Vallourec, but also as a father! My son is part of the group, he played today, and it was a wonderful day!”

The fifth edition of the festival also featured the mascot of Contagem Esporte Clube, Bob, who enthused the crowd and delighted the kids. To top off the event, all participants received medals for their involvement.

The event is part of the Incentivized Projects, initiative by Vallourec, which has already benefited over 500,000 people directly or indirectly across more than 30 cities, transforming the communities surrounding our units.
