Belo Horizonte (Brazil), July 11, 2024 – Vallourec, a world leader in premium tubular solutions, has secured a contract to supply Eneva with more than 4,000 tons of casing and tubes for the production of onshore natural gas. The low carbon and high performance solutions will be part of exploration and production developments in the Brazilian states of Maranhão, Amazonas and Mato Grosso do Sul.

Eneva holds the largest onshore exploration concession area in Brazil – expanding over 54,000 square kilometers – and operates 12 natural gas fields in the country. The company is also active in the energy generation market, especially thermoelectric and solar, with infrastructure capable of approximately 6 gigawatts.

The two companies currently have another partnership that provides renewable energy for Vallourec’s industrial units in Brazil by means of Eneva’s Futura I Solar Complex. The structure is one of the largest solar farms of the Americas, with over 22 photovoltaic generators and more than 1.4 million solar panels. This initiative contributes with Vallourec’s decarbonization goals and helps make our tubes’ carbon footprint best-in-class.

We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Eneva through our participation in their onshore operations and look forward to opening new paths of collaboration with intelligent energy solutions for the industrial sector”, highlights Bertrand Frischmann, Chief Operations Officer for the Americas for Vallourec.

This new partnership with Vallourec reflects the synergy between the two companies and their commitment to excellence and compliance with the highest quality standards. The contract also reinforces Eneva’s commitment to safety in their onshore drilling and production fields”, says Renato Cintra, Eneva’s Corporate Affairs Director.
