The teams of the Vallourec Tubular Solutions (VTS) site in Rio das Ostras (RJ) perform inspection services, maintenance, recovery and rig preparation for OCTG products. In addition to offer transport, technical consulting, inventory management, maintenance, well coordination and drawing, training, production, and tubular accessory management services for customers in Brazil.
- Well design – Based on materials selection, conventional and advanced pipe casing projects, Vallourec optimizes well projects and enhances its integrity.
- Inspection and preservation – Sequence of services performed onshore such as removal of protectors, thread dope cleaning, hydroblasting on the tube body, electromagnetic inspection and straightening, with the assurance of material integrity for your operation.
- Repair and Machining – Vast machining capacity in Brazil’s largest oil producing area, with the repair of VAM® and API connections in several dimensions, guarantee of unique quality standards worldwide for the complete line of VAM® products.
- Well coordination – With the management of accessories, assembling, testing, logistics, and the provision of sling tubes, you can management of components delivery to wells with maximum efficiency.
- Rig Prep – Tubular preparation is performed according to project requirements and includes external visual inspection of tube body, cleaning and visual inspection of threading, Drift, application of make-up dose on threads, length measurement, sequencing and marking the tubes with an alphanumeric code, and Pre-Taily List, which reduce operation time and increase safety on the rig.
- Transport – Vallourec offers a truck fleet with tracking devices, with collection and delivery of material at the client’s base and in all domestic ports, following the well schedule, with placement of loads on truck according to industry’s high safety standards, and all customized per your needs.
- Stock management – We ensure full inventory control, the operating integrity of the tubes and accessories preservation and its quality through periodic inspections. We perform all the handling and transport operations loading and unloading inside the stockyard. At the end, you optimize the inventory costs and storage conditions.
- Traceability by electronic chip – Tubes and accessories can have electronic chips with RFID low frequency reading system, material can be supplied with capacity to survive well conditions and with an automation software for tube running. With that, you can ensure full traceability and accurate identification of every material.
- Desk/Resident Engineer – We allocate experts for technical consulting regarding OCTG tubes, VAM® connections, basic metallurgy, well projects and also logistic processes, ensuring more effectiveness when selecting and planning your projects.
- Rental – We rent surface tools such as drifts, circulating heads, lifting equipment, and setting blocks for connections, reducing inventory and maintenance costs.
- Training – Specialized instructors conduct customized “in-company” programs ranging from 2 to 5 days or at Vallourec’s facilities, with emphasis on technical and practical concepts of tubular products from project concept to the finished well.
