Vallourec opens registrations for 2022 Jovem Aprendiz program
Vallourec is selecting talents through the Jovem Aprendiz 2022, an initiative that seeks to improve access to the first job for young apprentices above age 17. Registrations are open until June 30 on www.vagas.com.br/vallourec.
Over 80 positions will be available at Barreiro, Belo Horizonte, and Jeceaba plants. Applicants can choose the following opportunities: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic; Automation (Industrial Systems); Electro-electronic Maintenance Electrician (exclusive for the Barreiro plant;) and Iron and Steel Processing Operator (exclusive for the Jeceaba plant and People with Disabilities.)
The apprentices will be granted a scholarship during the program and have the right to a food basket and medical care. “That is a great opportunity for those who want to know the labor market and have a first work experience at a big company; that can make a difference in the future. The program will create knowledge and can help the apprentices choose their careers,” says Vallourec Human Resources analyst Mirian Andrade.
Requirements
People born between August 1, 2003, and August 1, 2005, can apply for the positions of Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Automation (Industrial Systems,) and Electro-electronic Maintenance Electrician. Iron and Steel Processing Operator is specific for People with Disabilities aged 18, without any age limit.
The course of Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will have a duration of 24 months; the first 12 months at the Senai in Contagem (for Barreiro plant) and Ouro Branco (for Jeceaba plant,) and the remaining 12 months will consist of practical classes at Vallourec. The Automation (Industrial Systems) course will be 18 months – the first 12 months at the Senai in Belo Horizonte, and the remaining months will consist of practice at Vallourec. The Electro-electronic Maintenance Electrician course will have 12 months of theoretical and practical classes at the Senai in Belo Horizonte. The Iron and Steel Processing Operator course will be 13 months – six months at the Senai in Jeceaba and the remaining months with practical classes at Vallourec.
The Human Resources analyst explains that all the activities will have professionals as supervisors. “Patrons will supervise and develop the young apprentices, contributing to their training and guiding them to the best results,” says Mirian.
