COVID-19 – Vallourec gives materials to institutions
To help fight and prevent the coronavirus, Vallourec donates materials to institutions
09/04/2020 – Health
During the pandemic caused by the coronavirus, Vallourec will donate materials to 13 healthcare facilities to collaborate with the infrastructure for serving the population in the locations where it is present. These resources, focused on the protection of health professionals and patients, will allow the maintenance of assistance to suspected cases of Covid-19 and operation of health units.
“Health and safety are core values for the Company, and, at this moment, it would be no different. Vallourec is mobilised to fight the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus. Sensitive, especially to the needs of the regions where we operate, we decided to strengthen the institutions’ work after listening to them and we are sure that this contribution will be important”, says Hildeu Dellaretti Junior, superintendent of Institutional Relations, External Communication and Environment at Vallourec .
Vallourec has prioritised the supply of five items, totalling: 15,000 bottles of 70% alcohol hand sanitiser gel, 10,000 face shields, 10,000 face masks, 100,000 procedure gloves and 5,000 safety goggles. The Company also met other local demands, allocating tents for the construction of sanitary barriers and, through its volunteer program, it has distributed staple foods – voluntarily donated by its employees – to various social institutions in the regions where Vallourec is present.
