Inclusion and respect for diversity

Dialogues on diversity have been constant in Vallourec companies in Brazil. After all, not only in this month in which international LGBTQIA+ Pride Day is celebrated but every year, we always care about welcoming colleagues, showing empathy, and respecting people.

We have intensified daily the search to create an increasingly diverse work environment! This attitude collaborates with the organizational health of the Company, helping us to perform our functions well and ensuring a favorable climate to achieve the goals with inspiration and responsibility. This objective has mobilized, in recent months, several employees of the team to act directly with this theme within Vallourec.

The team is made up of employees from various sectors, called Diversity Facilitators, which represent our professional plurality. The group of facilitators is composed of approximately 70 people and includes employees of the plants of Barreiro, Mina, Florestal, Jeceaba, Rio das Ostras (RJ), and other units, being present in both administrative and operational areas. These collaborators are volunteers of the program and are considered the focal points of diversity in their areas, conducting the Diversity Dialogues. After all, dialogue and awareness are the basis for achieving the transformation we want.
