Vallourec Hosts Workshop with Allseas and Petrobras
Event aimed to strengthen the culture of Health, Safety and Environment
Vallourec recently welcomed representatives from Allseas and Petrobras for a workshop focused on the exchange of best practices, reinforcing the organizations’ shared commitment to a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment and operations.
Participants were received at the Barreiro plant in Belo Horizonte, where representatives from each company gave presentations sharing operational models and best practices. The guests then visited the Vallourec DOJO — a safe and controlled space designed for hands-on training with simulations of daily operations and scenarios.
The second day of the meeting was dedicated to technical visits at the Jeceaba unit, where participants had the opportunity to explore the Rolling Mill, Heat Treatment, Flexline, and observe the first pipes produced for the Búzios 10 project, which involves the joint effort of the three companies.
Among those present were Marcelo Costa, General Manager of Line Pipe Projects at Vallourec; André de Melo, General Manager of Allseas in Brazil; and Frans den Hartogh, Project Director at Allseas. Representing Petrobras were Jaime Maciel, Búzios 10 Subsea Sector Manager, and Bruno Xavier, Occupational Safety Engineer, among other professionals.
In addition to reaffirming the commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment, the meeting also strengthened the partnership between the companies. Recently, Vallourec signed a contract with Allseas to supply approximately 18,000 tons of premium line pipe for risers and flowlines for the Búzios 10 offshore project, operated by Petrobras. The contract also includes an optional scope of nearly 5,000 additional tons.
